bareMinerals: Made-2-Fit Foundation Just For You!

BAREMINERALS

My Bareminerals box from Influenster

I was gifted a gorgeous, little package today and I’m on cloud nine right now. I’m so fortunate that I received this bareMinerals product for free for testing purposes from Influenster. However, all opinions are my own.

When bareMinerals notified me that I was selected for this collaboration I wasn’t that excited at first…let me explain: Instead of a usual ‘congratulations you’ll be receiving a blogger package’ email, I got a link to a set of instructions that I had to follow in order to receive this product.

I almost passed on the offer until I realized that I would be able to try

A bareMinerals foundation shade formulated exclusively just for me!

This collaboration is one of my most cherished, thus far, because it honestly feels more personal than my previous collaborations.

And that is why I’m so glad that I’m discussing this revolutionary process & product now.

This post is going to be a 2 part series:

Part One: In this post, I’m going to explain how to use the bareMinerals Made-2-Fit app on your phone. I’d also like to share my first impressions of the foundation that I received from ordering from the app.

Part Two: In the second post, I’m going to do a follow-up and let you know how the “formulated for me” foundation shade matched with my skin. And would I really go out of my way to actually purchase the foundation?

The MADE-2-FIT app makes foundation shopping much easier and here’s how it works:

  • You need to download the Made-2-Fit app on your phone.
  • The app must get an accurate scan of your skin tone, and to achieve this you must follow the instructions that I’ve listed below:
    • 1. You need to begin with a clean & makeup free face. 2. The scans need to be taken with indoor lighting, not under direct sunlight. 3. Also, you’ll need to place several sheets of white paper on a table, then…lightly tap your camera against the white paper to calibrate it (I used several large pieces of white, wrapping tissue paper because it was the day after Christmas. So that’s what was easily accessible to me.) The app will let you know if it was calibrated & if you’re good to go to the next step. 4. You will then be instructed to scan and tap on your inner wrist, just like you scanned and tapped on the white sheets of paper. 5. And you’ll also repeat these exact same steps on several different sections of your face.

The app easily and clearly guides you throughout the entire short process. It’s that easy. Seriously, you won’t have to drive through traffic just to rummage through a crowded store to purchase your next shade of foundation. You can conveniently do it from home. So futuristic. Isn’t technology amazing *sigh*

As you can tell from the very first photograph shown above, the packaging that the foundation comes in is not impressive at all, very bland. It doesn’t feel like a $49 product, but when you take the foundation out of its package you’ll immediately be impressed with the actual product. Yes, this is a $49 product when you see your name on the front and the back of the bottle (shown in picture #2 & #3). The frosted bottle that it comes in is heavy and it feels like a good quality product. It can definitely compete with the high end foundations on the market. As you can see it looks gorgeous among all my other beauty products, and with my name on the bottle, it just looks so chic.

A MADE-2-FIT bareMinerals foundation is an affordable luxury beauty product!

~ It’s about the same, if not more affordable than the other high end foundations on the market ~

Yves Saint Laurent – $58 (a much smaller than the bareMinerals one)

NARS – $49

Laura Mercier – $48

Giorgio Armani – $64

Bobbi Brown – $50

DIOR – $52

Plus, it was formulated just for you! It hasn’t been sitting around on some dusty shelf in the store, it’s a fresh product that’s exclusive just for your skin shade.

I can’t wait to do part 2 of this blog post so I can show you all how the foundation came out on me. I’ll share my observations about using my actual MADE-2-FIT foundation.

Thank you so much Influenster & bareMinerals for this exclusive collaboration!
