EMPTIES: Sheet Masks – Hits & Misses

Empties – Sheet Masks
I love me a good sheet mask. They are fast, fun, and convenient. An easy to use beauty treatment for a glowing complexion. Plus, who doesn’t like getting sheet faced a couple times a week? π
I’ve accumulated a myriad of empty sheet mask pouches from several different brands, and I thought I’d share with y’all which ones were hits and misses.
So, if you’ve ever seen these sheet masks in your local grocery store, but you weren’t sure about purchasing them, hopefully this information can assist you in the future.

$4 | PACIFICA
+ HIT +
Rose & Peptide | This is the mask that I purchase the most. It contains peptides, rose hip seed oil, chamomile extract, red rice extract, hyaluronic acid, pomegranate and green tea.
Coconut & Caffeine | Includes coconut, caffeine, green tea and turmeric
Green Detox Kale & Charcoal | Has kale, charcoal, cilantro, sea kelp, green tea, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve bought these PACIFICA sheet masks. They are conveniently located inside my local health food store, so I purchase a couple of these every single week during my grocery run.
They are a bit pricey, but worth it, a good quality sheet mask. I’m not thrilled that they contain fragrance, so buyer beware, but their scents are not too strong.
The fit of their sheet mask is ok. There are heart shaped cut outs for the eye area, adorable. They stay in place and don’t slide around. There is always plenty of serum on the mask and plenty extra in the pouch.
There is something special about the Rose & Peptide mask, my face tingles (in a good way) when I use this one, it’s my favorite.
My skin looks luminous, hydrated, and plump after using PACIFICA sheet masks.

$11.95 for a 10 pack | EBANEL
Korean Collagen Face Mask. Deep Moisturizing Instant Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Facial Masks for Skin Brightening Anti-Aging Anti-Wrinkle with Stem Cell Extracts and Peptide.
About $1.20 for each mask, super affordable. These are ok masks. But, I don’t think I’ll ever purchase them again. They weren’t memorable or horrible. I just didn’t notice a big difference with my complexion when I consistently used these masks.
These Ebanel Hyaluronic Collagen Sheet Masks are highly rated on Amazon, that’s how I stumbled upon them. They do leave my skin very hydrated, and there is no major scent associated with this product. They have never irritated my skin, and I have sensitive skin. The mask fit my face well, and it was plenty soaked with product.
Unfortunately, there was no ‘wow’ factor with these masks, and I’m just not too excited about purchasing them again.

$2.39 | BURT’S BEES
X MISS X
Ugh, hated these masks. Seriously, I only bought two (as shown in image above) and I’ll never buy them again. First, these masks did not fit my face at all, they were a sloppy mess, weird cut. The sheet didn’t cling to my skin, it kept falling off, so I had to keep pressing it on my face. Also, I just didn’t notice a difference after I used them, disappointing.
Sis, if you notice these at Whole Foods or at your local grocery store, just walk right by them and save your $ money $. These sheet masks are not effective or hydrating or beneficial.
Burt, honey, do better.

$10 | PIXI
As long as these masks are $10 for 3 then I’ll keep on buying them, but if the prices are ever raised, I’m out. These are decent sheet masks, I’ve never had a bad reaction from using them.
I’m not sure if the ‘collagen’ aspect is gimmicky or genuine. However, these do leave my skin glowing, plump, and hydrated.
+ Fragrance-free
+ Affordable
+ Plenty of serum in the packet
+ Leaves skin glowing, plump, and hydrated
+ Serum soaks nicely into skin

$70 | SHISEIDO
+ HIT +
12 packets in one box for $70, which makes each pack about $5.80
This Shiseido eye mask is a 2017 Allure beauty award winner (for more Allure beauty award content, click here) It has that coveted red award winning seal. This award winning product has not disappointed me, and itβs been a staple in my skincare arsenal.
So, I leave the patches under my eyes for 15 minutes, and then I place both patches on my forehead or my laugh lines for a few more minutes. Also, I scoop out any residual product thatβs in the pack, and I pat it all over my face and dΓ©colletage.
This product leaves my skin smooth and plump. My eyes look rested and radiant. I love the way my makeup looks when I use them, it has a great priming effect. The retinol is gentle and not drying. The cotton eye patches are aptly soaked with serum, and they never slide away from my under eye area.
There is fragrance in this product, but I canβt really smell it. Itβd be nice if Shiseido offered a fragrance free option. I have very sensitive skin, and thankfully, this product has never irritated me at all.
