Drugstore Beauty Haul: Come Shopping With Me!

DRUGSTORE Beauty Haul

Drugstore

I love shopping at my local drugstore. I often go there in the middle of the week, during the day, when everyone’s at work, that way I can slowly and peacefully explore the beauty section.

Beauty section in the Rite Aid drugstore

Don’t get me wrong, I can go crazy at a bougie department store or at Sephora/Ulta, but I also like my affordable drugstore beauty products. It’s comforting knowing that I won’t break the bank when I find stuff that I love at my local drugstore.

haircare drugstore products

REDKEN Color Extend Magnetics Sulfate-Free Shampoo & Conditioner

This Redken shampoo and conditioner is my go-to set when I don’t feel like spending a lot of money on hair care products. I don’t want to spend $80+ on Olaplex hair care again (Olaplex review here) This Redken set is safe for my color treated hair and it’s affordable, under $30 for both depending on where you buy them. I’ve bought these a few times already and I will keep on purchasing them.

Ponds Makeup Remover Cleansing Balm

This cleansing balm smells exactly like baby powder. I love the smell of baby powder. If you have sensitive skin and can’t handle heavy scents in your daily skincare, then skip this one for sure. I like the retro vibe packaging. It’s under $10. The balm is creamy and soft and I use it in conjunction with my cleansing cloth. This cleansing balm easily takes all my makeup off fast. A little goes a long way and the product lasts a long time. It leaves my face feeling soft and hydrated. Also, I do wash with another cleanser after as well.

I only have one issue with this cleansing balm, don’t open your eyes once you have it smeared all over your face. The balm doesn’t burn but it is very thick and it shouldn’t go in your eyes at all.

Olay Regenerist Night Recovery Night Cream Face Moisturizer

Blah, blah, blah there are always these miraculous claims when it comes to skincare. And this product is no different. Olay claims that in one single use it will rejuvenate and recharge your skin. Look, this is an awesome and affordable fragrance-free product ($26) and I like to use it all over my décolletage. I can use a lot of this every night and I don’t worry about the price. I really do like this moisturizer and I will continue to purchase it but I don’t think it’s the fountain of youth in a jar.

This isn’t the first time I’ve purchased and reviewed Olay products (Olay reviews here)

OPI: Princesses Rule

I’m obsessed with this shade of pink (Image above). Depending on where you purchase this bottle, the price can range from $9 to $11 a bottle. This is my favorite shade of pink nail polish to wear, not too flashy, it’s just a soft sparkly pink. Click here if you want to enjoy more nail polish content.

KISS Nail Decals

These KISS nail decals are around $3 depending on where you purchase them. I’m all about DIY manicures and pedicures, so I use these bling bling nail decals when I want my nails to look extra (In image below & above).

Sally Hanson HARD AS NAILS

Best base coat ever! I’ve been using this Sally Hanson product as my base coat for years. For $4 it is a great way to strengthen my nails and prevent chipping and cracking. This base coat also does a great job to extend the life of my manicures.

~ Tip: When your nails get long, apply a coat on the top of your nails and under your nail tips. Your nails will feel like they’re fake and/or as strong as acrylics.

Sally Hanson DRIES INSTANTLY Top Coat

Best top coat ever! Sally Hanson did not sponsor this post. $4 for a top coat that dries instantly and extends the look of my manicure, yesssss. This top coat dries really fast and that’s why it is one of my favorites. A while ago I tried a top coat from OPI and it took forever for the top coat to dry, so I’ve been with this one ever since.

Full disclosure – this product isn’t perfect. I have noticed that after a couple of months the product gets very thick and stringy and it can leave bubbles after it has dried. But it does dry really fast and my nail polish lasts a lot longer when I have this on top. This will be my tried-and-true top coat until I can find a better one.
