DECEMBER: Beauty Product Empties
🪒🧼🧴#BEAUTYPRODUCTEMPTIES – Beauty consumers have a cornucopia of products to choose from when shopping. That’s why it is a personal triumph when one does finally finish a purchase, more so if it’s later repurchased. It’s just so satisfying to use up the last glob of face cream, that final perfume spritz, or when you finally ‘hit pan’ with your favorite eyeshadow palette.
🚮 Below are my most recent beauty product empties that are getting tossed into the recycling bin, but not before I share them with you first.
DECEMBER: Beauty Product Empties
Cerave. Pixi. K-beauty
$10.99 | 😍 CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser for Normal to Dry Skin – I appreciate that this is an inexpensive cleanser, and it is easy to repurchase because I can always find it at my local drugstore. This is an excellent and effective product in my skincare routine because my normal to dry skin benefits from the ceramides and hyaluronic acid it provides. I like that it never leaves my skin feeling stripped and it is fragrant-free. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve purchased this and I will keep on purchasing it in the future.
- CNP beauty tip: Seek skincare products that contain beneficial ingredients like ceramides and hyaluronic acid. Ceramides are essential for healthy skin because they help maintain and restore the skin’s natural barrier. Hyaluronic acid attracts hydration and helps the skin retain moisture.
$10.00 (3 sheets per box) | 😍 Pixi Glow & Plump Sheet Masks – I usually pick up a box of these every time I shop at Target. I like them because they are affordable and my skin has never reacted negatively to them. They contain collagen and peptides and glycolic acid. I find them to be moisturizing and hydrating. I purchased these many times and I will keep on purchasing them.
$2.50 | 👎 Snail Bee High Content Mask by Benton – Did not like this sheet mask. Thankfully this sheet mask did not irritate my skin. It was inconvenient to put on because it is shaped weird, it was not shaped for a human face. I wasn’t really impressed with the serum, and I didn’t notice a big difference in my skin the next morning. At least this sheet mask was cheap. I will not ever purchase this one again.
$3.00 | 😍 Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Sheet Mask – LOVE. I’m going to stock up on these Klairs sheet mask. They are fragrance free and contain skin calming ingredients like willow bark and centella asiatica extracts. This sheet mask is gentle on skin, calming, cooling, and hydrating. They’re made from bamboo charcoal to draw out impurities from pores, which helps if you have issues with large pores. I’ve only used this product one time, so I can’t say it literally transformed my skin, but it impressed me enough that I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase these again in the future.

Peter Thomas Roth. Cerave. Clinique
$37 | 👍 CLINIQUE Moisture Surge Overnight Mask – This is a creamy, oil-free facial mask that I’ve purchased twice already. I like this Clinique mask. It’s not too thick or sticky, and it sinks into my skin fast. Also, it layers nicely with my other skincare products. There’s no fragrance that I can smell, it’s white but it blends in clear. Unfortunately, I don’t think I will purchase this again in the future, because I want to try other masks on the market that contain more beneficial ingredients. Again, I don’t have anything against this product.
$38 | 😒 PETER THOMAS ROTH Max Mineral Naked Broad Spectrum SPF 45 – I’ve bought this a couple of times in the past, and I use this instead of foundation during the summer. It doesn’t leave a white residue on my face, blends well, and looks great under makeup. It’s very light, so if you’re looking for something with excellent blemish coverage, then this is not your product. This all-mineral sunscreen protects my face from the sun and helps with my uneven skin tone. It’s only available in one shade: NAKED. This sunscreen leaves me with dewy skin and with no matte effect at all. It’s chemical free – doesn’t contain parabens, sulfates, or phthalates. Good for normal, oily, combination, dry, or sensitive skin. I’m not super crazy about the price, and I don’t like that it arrived less than half full when it was brand new. I will not be repurchasing this again in the future. I’m going to look for another better tinted sunscreen.
$18.99 | 😍 CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 – I like this sunscreen. It is a bit thick, and it takes a while to sink into my skin. The ingredients are what makes this such an effective product: contains an spf 30, ceramides, niacinamides, and hyaluronic acid. This moisturizing lotion is fragrant-free and affordable. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this again.
- CNP beauty tip: Niacinamides help calm the skin. It assists in keeping skin firm and healthy. It locks in moisture and prevents environmental damage.

Curology
$24.90 | 😍😍😍 Curology – Curology is a customized prescription skincare service designed for my specific needs and goals. This skincare subscription service allows me to get my tretinoin without having to physically go in and see my doctor. The packaging is simple and not flashy at all. But the prescribed cream is potent and effective.
I have a prescription for 4% Niacinamide, Azelaic Acid 5%, and Tretinoin 0.035%. For the first month I paid $4.95 (only paid for shipping and handling). After I’ve been paying $25 a month for one bottle of retinoid prescription cream (you can pause your service when needed without suffering any penalties). I have paused my service until the middle of March, because I already have plenty of bottles to last me till then. I use this Monday thru Friday in the evenings.
Curology is a good option for people who don’t have access to a dermatologist, but still want prescription strength skincare. It should not replace in office cancer screenings or hospital treatments for serious skin conditions. This beauty brand is definitely something to consider if you are looking for easy access to prescription strength skincare for anti-aging, textured skin, blemishes, or acne.
I will continue to use this service and I’m very satisfied with this product.
NuFace. Farmacy. Bvlgari
$98 | 👍 Bvlgari Eau Parfumée Au Thé Blanc – This smells like summer. I Spritz this luxurious scent all over myself when I want to smell like white tea magic. I received this in a sample bottle. I used it for a couple of days until it ran out, and then I was hooked. So I bought the Au Thé Blanc cologne and Au Thé Blanc body lotion. It has a delicate, clean, and classic scent. I really enjoyed using the perfume, but I don’t think I will ever buy it again. It is a little pricey, and the scent faded away too quickly on me. I don’t regret experiencing this, but I won’t purchase it again in the future.
$34 | 😍 Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Cleansing Balm – This is a 2017 Allure beauty award winner. I like this cleansing balm a lot. It smells so good, like a lime green starburst. This melts away stubborn makeup in a gentle and effective manner. It never leaves my skin feeling greasy. It has a thin and light texture. My skin feels soft and moisturized after using this cleansing balm.
$29 | 👍 NuFace Leave-On Gel Primer – I use this gel primer with my NuFace Trinity facial toning device. This primer ensures optimal micro current conductivity with the toning device. I basically use this gel to keep from getting zapped with the NuFace device, but then I quickly wash it off. It works, but I don’t really have anything else to say about the gel because I don’t use it as skincare. I will keep purchasing this as long as I use my NuFace device.

Farsali. Pacifica. Maybelline
$39 | 😍 Farsáli 24K Skin Mist – This Farsáli product contains rosehip seed oil and 24-Karat gold flakes. It can be used as a primer, setting spray, or a hydrating/refreshing facial mist.
This was an impulse purchase. I saw a YouTuber review it and she praised the hell out of it, so I added it to my cart. I began using it in the summer and I’ve already finished the bottle. The gold flakes don’t show up on my face when I spray myself with it. It does leave me with a nice glow. I wasn’t impressed with this at first, but I love it now, and I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this again in the future.
$4 | 😍 Rose & Peptide sheet mask – This is the mask that I purchase the most. It contains peptides, rose hip seed oil, chamomile extract, red rice extract, hyaluronic acid, pomegranate and green tea. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve bought these PACIFICA sheet masks. They are conveniently located inside my local health food store, so I purchase a couple of these every single week during my grocery run.
This is a good quality sheet mask. I’m not thrilled that they contain fragrance, so buyer beware, but their scents are not too strong.
The fit of their sheet mask is ok. There are heart shaped cut outs for the eye area, adorable. They stay in place and don’t slide around. There is always plenty of serum on the mask and plenty extra in the pouch.
There is something special about the Rose & Peptide mask, my face tingles in a good way when I use this one, it’s my favorite.
My skin looks luminous, hydrated, and plump after using PACIFICA sheet masks.
$7.40 | 👍 Great Lash Waterproof Mascara – Oldie but goodie – When I was a little girl I would watch my mom and my aunts apply their makeup in front of the mirror as they listened to music, and this is the mascara they all used. I use it now too, not because it is the greatest in the world, it’s more nostalgic for me. This award winning mascara has been around forever. It is not the only mascara I use, but I will continue to always have it in my makeup stash.
