Curology

Curology
I have been using tretinoin (prescription retinoid) on and off for a couple of years. My dermatologist provides me with a prescription in order to obtain this potent skincare product. However, I have to make an appointment with my provider every time I need a refill. That’s inconvenient, especially for just a refill.
That is why I switched over to Curology, because it allows me to get my tretinoin without having to physically go in and see my doctor.
This is not sponsored. One of my favorite skincare youtubers talked about this brand on her channel, and I thought I’d give them a try. I really like this Curology product and I just wanted to share it with you all π

As you can see from the pictures below, the packaging is simple and not flashy at all. But the prescribed cream is potent and effective.

Custom Prescribed Formula
Medical care is provided by physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Kelly is the physician assistant that helped me. Actual dermatologists are on staff to oversee the PA’s and NP’s.
The provider that is assigned to you will check on you to make sure how your prescription is working out. Your prescription can be changed depending on the feedback you give to your assigned provider. Also it takes about two business days to get a response from the assigned provider if you wish to communicate with them personally.
Their effective prescription formulas contain tretinoin (prescription retinoid), niacin amide (vitamin B3), azelaic acid (anti-inflammatory & antimicrobial), zinc pyrithione (fungus fighter), clindamycin (antibiotic), tranexamic acid (skin brightener), and metronidazole (antibiotic).

Skincare On Another Level
It only took several days from the day I signed up to receive my treatment plan and my prescription in the mail (white bottle Shown in middle picture above). I got a prescription for 4% Niacinamide, Azelaic Acid 5%, and Tretinoin 0.035%. Also included was a small moisturizer and cleanser. I had no complaints with their moisturizer and cleanser. I’m a creature of habit and I already have my own drugstore cleanser and moiturizers. So I will not be purchasing their set.
For the first month I paid $4.95 (only paid for shipping and handling). After I’ve been paying $25 a month for one bottle of retinoid prescription cream.
Only thing I don’t like is that their program automatically charges my card and ships me out a small bottle every single month. I don’t need a bottle every month. I think what I’m going to do is pause my account for about six months, that way I have plenty of time to use my prescription cream, and then restart it again when I run low.

Prescription Strength Skincare
Curology is a good option for people who don’t have access to a dermatologist, but still want prescription strength skincare. Curology should not replace in office cancer screenings or hospital treatments for serious skin conditions. Their website is informative and helpful and they explain their pricing better than I can. This beauty brand is definitely something to consider if you are looking for easy access to prescription strength skincare for anti-aging, textured skin, blemishes, or acne.
